My work has been very much focused on multitasking recently. However, there is method in this madness - I have allowed myself to discover that it is worth giving myself more space. Regularity and looking after yourself is the key to success. I recommend it to everyone.
Florist workshops and customer meetings
The calendar has been filling up fast with orders, plans and challenges since the beginning of April. We had only just finished the Women's Day marathon, and already we had to prepare for Easter.
The weekends were marked by meetings. On 5 April, we organised a full day of workshops. We started with creating woods in jars, then spring garlands were made, and finally we held a garland workshop at a ladies' night at our flower shop. I met some new people at that time. It was fantastic, and my heart grows that you are so keen to choose our florist in Katowice!
Easter preparations and Palm Sunday
The following week was marked by preparations for Palm Sunday. We organised an Easter-themed workshop where participants created traditional Silesian palms. There were three age groups: young people, adults and seniors, and everything took place in close proximity to our flower shop. It was a really fun and enjoyable time - an event we will remember for a long time!
1:1 florist training
In mid-April, we held another 1:1 florist training session at the florist. This time I was approached by Julka, who dreams of her own path in the florist profession. She was interested in the subject of funeral floristry, so together we created a classic and Roman wreath, personalised for a woman and a man.
During such training sessions, the idea is to step outside the box - to work with different plants, in a different style. The rich plant material promotes conversation, experience and the discovery of a new perspective on floristry.
Creative projects and collaborations
The second half of the month saw the theme of a bouquet in an arrangement that matched the furniture collection and the theme colour - mocca mouse. The bouquet was to blend in with the lounge furniture.
Just before Christmas, we still organised an away workshop at a furniture showroom in Katowice, continuing the theme of Easter garlands.
Christmas preparations and thanks
We took care of the day-to-day running of the flower shop: fresh deliveries, online and direct orders. Although time was short, we managed to prepare more garlands and centerpieces in the meantime. A special round of applause is due to Julia - thank you for the huge amount of work!
Not to be left out is the personalised XXL boho bouquet, which was also created during this busy time. And after Christmas? Two more garlands, daily chores and... you could slow down for a moment.
Summary
April was full of inspiration, people and flowers. We enjoy every encounter like this and look forward to the months ahead. Thank you for being with us!
We invite you to the florist W Korcu Maku in Katowice and to our florist workshops.
