The second life of a wedding bouquet - arrangement in a glass dome

Flowers have always been a symbol of beauty, love and remembrance. They constantly accompany us during important moments. A wedding bouquet certainly deserves a mention. There is a way to preserve it for longer and make it a lasting keepsake.

Do you want your wedding bouquet to stay with you for a long time?

In this article, I will introduce you to the subject of flower arranging in a slightly different way.

Where to start?

1. immediately after the wedding, bring your bouquet to my florist and I will take care of the rest.

2. drying of flowers.

There are several methods of drying. One natural one is the herb method - which involves hanging the flowers upside down with their stems so that they fall freely to the bottom. I place the flowers in a dry, dark place for several weeks or use an alternative method using containers filled with semolina.

Flower heads covered in this way retain the natural shape and original colour of the petals which makes them look very natural, I love this effect.

3. placing flowers in a glass dome.

Once the plants have been properly prepared and dried, I place them in a glass dome. I always try to establish a focal point, which is the largest and most beautiful flower, and around it I place smaller decorative elements such as leaves, twigs or other flowers.

I make sure that the composition is varied and attractive from all sides. I like it to look slightly different from each side. Dried flowers arranged in this way look magical!

I enclose the composition in a glass dome, which protects the flowers from dust, moisture and mechanical damage. The decoration additionally gives the whole an elegant and unique appearance.

4. pick up the finished one at our florist or order it for delivery.

The only point to bear in mind is to position the composition away from direct sunlight.

Advantages of flowers in a glass dome:

- longevity

Flowers enclosed in a glass dome will retain their appearance for many years.

- aesthetics

The glass domes add elegance and style to the interiors.

- personalisation

The ability to create unique flower arrangements allows them to be customised to individual tastes and needs, making them an even more valuable keepsake.

Preserving flowers in a glass dome is a beautiful way to immortalise important moments in our lives. With the right preparation and placement of the flowers in an elegant setting, we can enjoy their beauty for many years to come.

It is the perfect way to create a lasting memento that not only brings back memories, but also makes a unique decoration for the home.
